Bauchi to join league of oil producing states soon, says Gov. Mohammed Abubakar

Any moment from now Bauchi State will be joining the league of oil producing states in Nigeria as arrangements for the commencement of oil drilling in potential oil rich sites in Bauchi State have reached advanced stage.

This, according to a statement by Shamsuddeen Lukman Abubakar, Special Assistant to the Governor of Bauchi State on Communications, was revealed by the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Dr. Maikanti Baru in his office in Abuja when Governor Mohammed A. Abubakar paid him a visit.

Governor Abubakar was at the Abuja NNPC Headquarters to appraise Dr Baru of the ongoing oil exploration in some parts of Bauchi State.

Baru revealed to the Governor Abubakar that preparations are at the highest level for the commencement of exploration of five oil wells in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the State.

The NNPC has deployed advanced technology for exploration at the oil prospective sites in the state as per directives from the presidency.

Governor Abubakar is totally committed to supporting the NNPC to succeed in actualization of the ongoing oil search in the state.
