has berated an online media outfit for reports linking him to the embattled former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col Sambo Dasuki (rtd), describing the story as having ‘gone beyond the pale of gutter journalism.’

In a statement signed by Professor Tejumade Akitoye – Rhodes, Chairman Lagos Collectives, the former PDP Board of Trustees chairman said the ‘libelous publication is out rightly borne upon a twisted and depraved imagination, lacking substance, stripped of any iota of truth, prompted by a primitive malignity.’

“For the record, Chief Bode George did not collect a farthing from Dasuki or anybody else whatsoever. He has never even set eyes on the former NSA throughout his tenure in office talk less of collecting money from him. Dasuki, of course, is very much alive to corroborate this position.

“Where then in the world did Sahara Reporters manufacture its fractured and hideous hack writing and grubby and venomous scribble from?

“Again, in its disdain for clarity and the truth, the grubby online outfit still refers to Chief Bode George as an ex-convict despite the fact the man has been completely discharged and acquitted by the highest court in our land.

“It is rather sickening and sad when any two- bit wayfarer with an access to the Internet churns out absolute falsehood and desperate invectives in the name of journalism. Beer parlour reverie and drunken anecdotal scribbles are no substitute for journalism,” the statement read.
