President Muhammadu Buhari, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, President, African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr Akinwunmi Adesina and Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Dr Amina Mohammed are among dignitaries who would speak at this year’s National Diaspora Day celebration, taking place Monday, July 25, 2022 at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja.
According to a notice by Dr. Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), the programme, which starts at 2:00pm (Nigeria/UK time), China – 9:00pm, USA – 9:00am, Saudi Arabia – 4:00pm, Australia – 11:00pm (Eastern Standard Time) has as its theme: ‘Diaspora Engagement in a Globally Challenging Time.‘
Other Speakers at the hybrid celebration of Diasporans would include Mr. Olukayode Pitan, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Industry, Amb. Joe Keshi, Prof. Hauwa Ibrahim of the Harvard University, USA, Aliyu Al-Makura, Vice President, Bank of America, USA, Major Ernest Ezeajughi, Chief of Staff to Anambra State Governor and Francis Obiorah Obikwelu, a Track and Field Athlete.
The event, which promises to be enlightening and entertaining, Dr. Abike-Dabiri said, will also feature a host of other distinguished speakers, including a mystery celebrity guest.
