
President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday,constitute the new Federal Executive Council, FEC, with the swearing in of the the ministers-designate.
A statement released on Sunday by Mr. Femi Adesina, Special Adviser, Media & Publicity to the President, said that the ministers-designate will take their oaths of office in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa before the commencement of the inaugural session of the council.
The swearing-in ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 am and the ministers-designate are expected to be seated in the Council Chambers by 09:30 am at the latest.
Adesina stressed that each minister-designate can only be accompanied to the swearing-in ceremony by a maximum of two guests.
He also disclosed that on Monday President Buhari will formally swear in Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and Mrs. Amina Zakari, Mr. Solomon Adedeji Soyebi, Prof. Antonia Taiye Okoosi-Simbine, Dr. Muhammed Mustafa Lecky and Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo as National Commissioners of INEC.
The event is scheduled for 11:00 am also in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.
