CAF Awards: Asisat Oshoala, Sadio Mane retain CAF Player of the Year Awards

Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala Thursday evening won her fifth consecutive CAF Womens Player of the Year Award.

The FC Barcelona female star thus overtakes Samuel Eto’o (4) (Male) and compatriot Perpetua Nwokocha (4) (Female) on the list of Most CAF Player of the Year Award wins.

In the male category, Senegal and Bayern Munich super star, Sadio Mane, retained his African Player of the Year Award, the second time in his career.

Sadio Mane was instrumental to Senegal’s 2021 AFCON title win plus outstanding performances for former club Liverpool. He defeated former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah to win the award.

The Award Ceremony was held in Morocco .
