Chief Sir Innocent Chijioke Kafor goes home tomorrow, Friday, December 27, 2024 (See pictures from Memorial Service)

All is set for the glorious homegoing, tomorrow, Friday, December 27, 2024, of an elder statesman, and a highly respected community and religious leader, Chief Sir Innocent Chijioke Kafor (KSM).

Chief Sir Kafor, of Umuigwe Umuezigwe Amainyinta in the Ihitte/Uboma Local Government Area of Imo State, passed on recently at the age of 94, leaving behind his wife, children, grandchildren, other relatives and in-laws. The burial programme began on Friday, December 20, 2024 with a well attended Memorial Mass held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Aladinma, Owerri.

According to the programme, released by Mr. Damian Kafor, on behalf of the family, a Burial Mass in honour of the departed Patriarch will be held tomorrow, Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Parish, Amainyinta, Ihitte/Uboma LGA before his interment at his country home in Amainyinta, Ihitte/Uboma LGA.

A reception will follow immediately afterwards, also in his compound, in celebration of the eventful life of positive impact that he lived, and dignitaries from far and near are expected to be part of the reception.

The family of Chief Sir Kafor have continued to receive condolence messages from across the world from the many men and women who have been positively impacted by the life of sacrificial service that he lived, and by the lasting legacies that he has left behind.
