Super Falcons of Nigeria squad for 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup announced

The Nigeria Football Federation – NFF has officially announced a 23-player Super Falcons list for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The biggest in Women’s World Cup history, Nigeria will join 31 other countries in Australia/New Zealand in battle for the top prize from July 20 to August 20, 2023.

This will be Nigeria’s 9th appearance at a FIFA Women’s World Cup tournament, the most by any African Country.

Africa Women’s Footballer of the year and FC Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala headlines the list of invited Falcons for the World.

Experienced skipper Onome Ebi, Desire Oparanozie, Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkepeer Chiamaka Nnadozie and defender Ashleigh Plumptre are the other key names on the list.

Nigeria will face co-hosts Australia, Canada and Republic of Ireland in group A.
