The Edo College Old Boys Association (ECOBA) North America will hold its inaugural reunion from September 25 to 27, 2026, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, United States of America (USA), with the Nigerian Ambassador to the US, the Mayors of the Cities of Newark and Elizabeth and other dignitaries as special guests.
The three-day event will take place at the Hilton Newark Airport, 1170 Spring Street, Elizabeth, New Jersey, and will formally mark the launch of ECOBA North America.
ECOBA is the alumni association of Edo College, Benin City, Nigeria, a historic school founded in 1937. The association brings together former students from different generations, professions and parts of the world.
The reunion is expected to bring together alumni from the Classes of 1960 to 2025, with members travelling from the United States, Canada, Nigeria and other countries.
According to the Association, the event will provide an opportunity for old students to reconnect, build stronger relationships and support the development of the Edo College community.
The reunion will also focus on mentorship, networking, community engagement and preserving the school’s educational heritage.
A major part of the event will be the launch of the ECOBA North America Fundraising Initiative, aimed at supporting future generations and the wider Edo College community.
