Edo 2016: Don Pedro Obaseki not our candidate – Accord Party

Ahead of the September 10 governorship election in Edo State, the Accord Party (AP), Friday, said it has yet to nominate a candidate for the poll.
The party in a signed statement by Dr. Samson Isibor and Idehenren Emmanuel, Chairman and secretary, respectively, said the AP’s attention was drawn to one Don Pedro Obaseki, ‘who is parading himself as AP candidate.’
He recalled that the said Obaseki was an aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), but quit the race over what he described as faulty process.
He afterwards announced on social media that he has been nominated by AP.
However, Isibor who described Obaseki as impersonator warned him to desist from parading himself as the party’s candidate or face legal action.
Contacted for reaction, Obaseki said he was duly nominated by the party which according to him, is chaired by Joseph Omorogbe.
According to him, the APC is responsible for this, And by the grace of God, I will be the next governor.
