President Paul Biya of Cameroon, at the invitation of President Muhammadu Buhari, has arrived Nigeria and commenced a two-day state visit to Nigeria, Tuesday.
President Biya, who is accompanied by his wife, Chantal and senior Cameroonian government officials, was received at the Presidential Villa, Abuja by President Buhari.
Both leaders and their officials are confering on issues of common interest to Nigeria and Cameroon, including ongoing bilateral and regional cooperation against terrorism, violent extremism and cross-border crimes.
New agreements to strengthen existing ties, as well as trade and economic relations between Nigeria and Cameroon are being concluded and signed and.
a joint communiqué on the visit and the talks between the two presidents and their officials will be issued before President Biya’s departure from Abuja on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
