He commended Governor Dankwambo for carrying the traditional rulers in the State along, saying, “Your consultation and appointing some of us in various ad-hoc assignments to advance the cause of governance has engaged the traditional institution to the realization that we have to contribute to the development of our subjects and the society in general”.
He added that, ” I therefore will not stop at anything but to do my best. I accept the trust on behalf of all men and women of Dukku Emirate. In the depth of my heart, I am aware that the Staff of office given to me is much more than an honour to me personally and a pride to all indigenes of Dukku and by extension to my family, friends, the distinguished guests and well wishers celebrating with us.
His Royal Highness, Alhaji Haruna Abdulrashid was born on 24th November, 1960 as the third  child to the immediate past Emir, Alhaji Abdulkadir Haruna Rashid, the 16th Lamido Dukku and first Emir of Dukku.
