Some Super Eagles B players In training

Head coach of the Super Eagles B team, Eric Chelle, has announced his final 23-man squad for the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), with team captain Junior Harrison Nduka, defender Sikiru Alimi, and forward Godwin Obaje among the standout names.

The tournament will take place across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from 2nd to 30th August 2025.
Also making the squad are goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena Ani (Enyimba), defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Mayo, midfielders Hadi Haruna and Alex Oyowah, and forwards Anas Yusuf and Ijoma Anthony.
The team, which has been camping and training at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, is scheduled to depart Nigeria for Zanzibar on Thursday evening via Ethiopian Airlines.
As part of preparations, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has arranged a second-phase training camp in Zanzibar from 25th to 31st July. The Super Eagles B will play two friendly matches against the senior national team of Zanzibar — first on Monday, 28th July and again on Thursday, 31st July.
Nigeria, who finished as runners-up in 2018 and bronze medallists in 2014, are drawn in Group D of the 19-team competition. They will face defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
The Eagles will play their opening two games — against Senegal and Sudan — at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, before facing Congo at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
