Secretary of the transport company, Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed Umar, told newsmen in his office that Remarkable Trust Company is expected to supply the vehicles in a couple of weeks.
According to him, the procurement procedure has reached eighty per cent (80%) and that the vehicles would be paid for within two years, the period in which the vehicles would outlive their usefulness.
The Company Secretary said, the vehicles would greatly boost the revenue of the State Government since the company’s fleet of vehicles is known to ply all parts of the country.
He said in another way of boosting the company’s revenue base, the company was currently concluding arrangements to open its own parks in Abuja, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos and Port-Harcourt.
Alhaji Abdullahi said the company recently off-set the debt of fifty (50) of the company’s buses that were bought in 2013 and which have all been withdrawn from the roads, awaiting the State Governor’s directive on what to do with them.
