Osimhen scores first Galatasaray goal in 4-0 win

Victor Osimhen opened his scoring account for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions thrashed Kayserispor 4-0 to keep their perfect start to the season.

The Super Eagles striker, who joined permanently from Napoli this summer, started his first league game of the campaign after coming off the bench in last week’s victory over Karagümrük.

Evren Eren Elmali put Gala ahead just before half-time and struck again seconds into the second half from a Leroy Sané assist.

Osimhen made it 3-0 in the 86th minute with a calm finish, his first goal in Galatasaray colours this season, before Sané added a fourth in stoppage time.

The win means Galatasaray stay top of the Turkish Super Lig with three wins from three, scoring 10 goals without conceding, as they push for a fourth straight league title.

The Nigerian forward, who scored 36 goals and provided eight assists in 40 matches on loan at the club last season, is expected to play a key role again as Galatasaray target another domestic double and a strong run in the UEFA Champions League.

Galatasaray will host Rizespor next Saturday, while Kayserispor visit Kocaelispor.
