Gov Simon Lalong of Plateau State has welcomed Chinese Ambassador, Amb Zhou Pingjian, who is on a working visit to the state with some Chinese investors.
Gov. Lalong, who welcomed the guests with some members of his Executive, encouraged investments especially in Agriculture and Minerals development.
Amb Zhou, on his part, acknowledged the warm reception accorded his delegation of mostly Chinese citizens investors on the Plateau and said that “China has invested Billions of dollars in Africa.”
It is expected that the trip will result in significant Chinese investments in Plateau State.
The Chinese Ambassador also gave scholarships to 47 University of Jos students and urged special attention to education for development.
