Danjuma James, Sokoto
Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto Wednesday said that he was forced to dump All Progressives Congress, APC to achieve national unity, security and economic well being of Nigerians
Speaking to a mamout crowd at the gate of the Government House Sokoto, Tambuwal said the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government has failed to meet the yearning and aspirations of Nigerians even as it has jettisoned the vital manifestoes of APC of restructuring and developing the country.
According to the governor, while in APC, he was unable to reconcile himself to a national leadership that offers no redeeming moral beacon and that was why he resigned his membership of APC and returned to PDP.
He said he had consulted widely with the people on his ambition and that his defection was endorsed by Nigerians.
