The 2022 Ijaw Diaspora Council Convention will hold in New Jersey, United States of America (USA) from Friday, July 1, 2022 to Sunday, July 3, 2022, and the Keynote Speaker will be Her Excellency, Ambassador Dr. (Mrs.) Uzoma Emenike, the Nigerian Ambassador to the United States of America.
The Convention will hold at the Crown Plaza, Newark Airport, 901 Spring Street, New Jersey, 07201 and its theme is “The Emergence of the Ijaw Voice in the Diaspora, Hope for the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality.”
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, a prominent Ijaw son, who is already in the USA at the head of a Trade and Cultural Delegation from the state is expected to grace the Convention.
Governor Diri’s Delegation is billed to market the resources of Bayelsa State to international investors with the purpose of attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the state in areas such as agriculture, healthcare, business, technology, oil and gas, hospitality, culture and tourism.
The rich Ijaw culture will be on display during the different sessions of the Convention.
