Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has sacked Ford Ozumba, his Commissioner for Labour and Productivity.
The approval for the immediate removal from office of the one-time Managing Director of the State Government-owned newspaper, Statesman, was announced by the State’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
The statement by Emelumba on Saturday said, “Accordingly, His Excellency further directs that Chief Ozumba hands over to the Permanent Secretary of his Ministry with immediate effect.”
There were no details concerning what the former Commissioner did to deserve the boot.
