Be relevant in government policies, Ahmed urges professional, corporate bodies

Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on professional unions and corporate bodies to strategically position themselves in order to contribute meaningfully to political formulation and implementation in the country.

Gov. Ahmed who gave the advice will receiving the National President of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alhaji Najimudeen Yasin who paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Ilorin, emphasised the need for the leadership of various groups to advance critical views for growth and development of the nation’s economy.

The governor who congratulated the National President of the NURTW on his re-election, attributed his success to sterling administrative acumen, transparency and accountability exhibited during his first tenure.

The governor who praised Alhaji Yasin for being a good ambassador of the state at the national level of the union, also advised him to use the position to further showcase the political image of Kwara State.

The National President of the NURTW, Alhaji Najimudeen Yasin had earlier in his remarks expressed gratitude the government for its supports for the union.
