KSJI elects Brigadier -General Cletus Ntong as new Supreme Subordinate Secretary – Nigeria

The Grand Secretary of Uyo Grand Commandery of the Knights of St. John International (KSJI), Brig-General Idongesit-Cletus Ntong has been elected as the Supreme Subordinate Secretary, Nigeria in the just concluded National Convention of the Order held at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu, Enugu State on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Brig. General Ntong emerged the new SSS-Nigeria by polling 5, 231 votes in an election keenly contested by two other candidates, who also scored 688 and 647 votes respectively.

Until his recent elevation, Ntong was the Grand Secretary of Uyo Grand Commandery.

He had served the Order at various times as the Recording Corresponding Secretary (RCS), SS Peter and Paul Commandery, 537, Essene, Ikot Abasi and 2nd Vice District Commander, District 44, Uyo.

Brig-General Cletus Ntong was a one time Adjutant of the disbanded Akwa Ibom regiment. His commitment to the Knights of St. John International propelled him to win a coveted prize as the Best Recording Corresponding Secretary (RCS) in the old Calabar Grand in 2015.

The ebullient SSS – Nigeria had also served as Grand Secretary of Calabar before the creation of Uyo and Ogoja Grand Commanderies in December 2020.

He is a thorough – bred officer, diligent, honest and a committed soldier of Christ.

Besides, Brigadier – General Cletus Ntong  is a humble and very loyal officer. His immense contributions and untiring effort as Secretary of the Calabar Grand, saw to the creation of two new Grand Commanderies of Uyo and Ogoja last year by the KSJI, USA.

His unique profile of service and impeccable dispositions in the past few years, have endeared him to members of the Order and beyond.
