The Labour Party (LP) candidate for Enugu East Senatorial district, Oyibo Chukwu, has been reported killed.
A lawyer, Oyibo, was said to have been attacked while returning from a campaign trip in the Agbani area of the state.
He was said to have been shot and burnt inside his vehicle with the three persons who were said to have been with him in the vehicle when they were attacked.
Controversial former Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, who has been declared expelled by his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is the incumbent Senator representing Enugu East Senatorial district.
The Police in the state and the family of the politician are still to comment on the gruesome killings.
