Lady Uchechi Ahunanya (nee Nwagwu) passes on; Service of Songs in her honor holds in New Jersey, USA

Lady Uchechi Ethel Ahunanya (nee Nwagwu) has passed on at the age of 57 and to celebrate her life and times, a Service of Songs was held at her brother, Mr. Uzoma Nwagwu’s residence in New Jersey, United States of America on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Born April 11, 1961 to the family of late Nze Sir Richard and Lolo Eunice Uwalaka (nee Nwagwu) of Uhuala, Udo in Ezinihitte Mbaise LGA of Imo States, Nigeria, she got marriage at the young age of 18 to Sir Geoffrey Ahunanya in 1979, and the union has been blessed with five children, including a set of twins.

She had her early primary school education at Udo Community School, proceeded to  Mbaise Girls Secondary School for her higher school and from there, went on to obtain her teaching certifications, T.C2 (1982) and TC1(1987), from the Teacher Training College, Ihie and St. Joseph’s Teachers Training College, Aba respectively.

She later attended the University of Lagos (UNILAG) from where she earned a Bachelor of Science (B. Sc) degree in Education (1999).

An educationist per excellence, Lady Uche taught in different schools in Imo State as a Science teacher and positively impacted the lives of all that came her way.

She was also very religious and, literally, devoted her life, to the very end, to the service of the Almighty God.

The Service of Songs in her honor was presided over by the Senior Pastor-in-Charge of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Dominion Cathedral, 180 Main Street, Orange, New Jersey, Pastor Dr. Toyin Laoye who prayed fervently for the family.

The celebration of her impactful life’s program was attended by the clergy, relatives, friends and associates of the family.
