Manchester City matched bitter rivals Manchester United on Tuesday, as they put three goals past Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium.
In a staggering show of attacking might, City crushed Luis Enrique’s men, as Ilkay Gundogan scored twice and Kevin De Bruyne netted a superb free-kick.
The result was a historic one for Pep Guardiola’s men, as they became the first team since United in the 1998/99 season to score three against the Catalan giants in the Champions League.
United played Barca twice in their Treble-winning season, drawing each group game 3-3. It remains to be seen if City can go on to complete a clean sweep of trophies.
