Across the world, Christians celebrated the cross-over service on Saturday, December 31, 2016 and the first service of the year, January 1, 2017, in joy and with thanksgiving.
It was not different in Nigeria, particularly in Lagos, where scenes from the services in Methodist Church Nigeria, Tinubu, the Cathedral Church of Christ Marina and the Assemblies of God Church (AGC) Rosanwo Aguda Surulere, all captured the joyous mood of the clergy and the members of the churches.
