New gospel album launched in Port Harcourt …Addresses spiritual, social needs of people

David Amusa, Port Harcourt

A new album has been launched in Port Harcourt.

It is entitled, ‘Alpha and Omega’ and is a 10 track gospel and worship songs album.

Speaking at the launch, which took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Living Spring zonal headquarters in Port Harcourt, yesterday,  the artist, Deaconess Chika Chidiebere, said that she was inspired by the Holy Spirit and the social challenges of the time to write the songs and hoped that they would bring melody to the hearts of Nigerians who are overwhelmed by spiritual and social challenges.

She appealed to members of the public to obtain the album, pointing out that the songs would be useful to address their spiritual and social needs.

Earlier on, the chairman of the occasion, Rev. (Dr) Sam Nduka, commended the artist for the launch and saluted her for her originality and creativity in her works, pointing out that current artists lack originality and are copy cat musicians who have nothing new to offer to the society.

“We bless God for what He did through our sister Chika. The album that was launched is indeed an inspirational one. We thank God it is not all of those copy and paste kind of album but the Lord’s inspired album”

He urged all and sundry to patronize her work particularly the body of Christ as the work is edifying.
