New SEC Chairman, Chief Peter Obi’s first visit to the Commission
Former Governor of Anambra State, Chief Peter Obi who was recently appointed Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, SEC, paid his maiden visit to the Commission’s headquarters in Lagos Wednesday.
During the visit, he also held his fisrt Board meeting and met with staff of the Commission and other stakeholders.
Here are some pictures of the memorable event.

Peter Obi is the man to head this important regulatory body. He ran a very prudent government in Anambra state, leaving behind about N76 billion in cash and investments where many of the incumbent and immediate past governors have left or are leaving huge debts, most of which debts are monies borrowed from the Stock Exchange and squandered. He is likely to stop the mad rush by governors to the market.
Peter Obi should be retained by the new government of Buhari. He will help to sanitize the sector, especially, he will help to stop the mad rush by governors who borrow heavily and squander the monies so borrowed, leaving huge debts for their successors.
