New Year: Nafada felicitates with Gombe people …. Appeals for peaceful campaigns

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, Senator Usman Bayero Nafada has felicitated with the people of the State on the occasion of the 2019 new-year celebration.

The candidate, who also used the occasion to appeal to his fellow politicians as well as the electorate for peaceful campaigns in the build-up to the February/March 2019 general elections, stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Gombe by the Director, Bayero Nafada Campaign Organization, Dahiru Hassan Kera.
Bayero Nafada said, as Nigeria prepares for this year’s elections, it was important that politicians, supporters as well as the electorate, conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the electioneering campaigns and even after the elections.
According to him, “I call on us to conduct ourselves in a very respectable and peaceful manner before, during and after the elections. I also urge our supporters to be peaceful during our electioneering campaigns”.
Senator Bayero Nafada who promised to operate an all inclusive Government that will accommodate women and youths to contribute their quota in the development of the State added that, “if elected, I promise to ensure that I sustain the peace enjoyed in the State by working hand in hand with all stakeholders, especially all the security agents”.
The statement also quoted the Senator saying, “I urge us all to remain law abiding and support the PDP Government of the day under His Excellency, Dr. Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo (OON, Talban Gombe), in its determined efforts to better the lives of the people”.
He also promised to continue with the laudable programmes and policies of the current Government which is aimed at uplifting the living standard of the people through the provision of basic infrastructural and socio-economic needs of the people as well as fight poverty and illiteracy, if elected.
Congratulating the people over the New Year celebration, Nafada said, “2018 was an eventful year for us in the State with its ups and downs, but we must thank Almighty God for keeping us alive to see the beginning of this year 2019”.
“I pray that God in his infinite mercies will help us to achieve the dreams we set for ourselves this year and beyond,” Nafada prayed.
