Nigeria set to host the 2018 African Cup for Club Champions

The Nigeria Hockey Federation is ready to host the 2018 African Cup for Club Champions at the Abuja National Stadium.

Already clubs from Ghana, Kenya and Egypt are in Abuja for the most prestigious Hockey competition in Africa.

The equipments needed for a successful hosting of the tournament have been put in place and the LOC are putting finishing touches on the modalities needed for ACCC.

According to the Federation president, Senator Abdul Ningi, the Federation is grateful for the supports received from the Ministry and ready to host Africa.

“We welcome Africa to Nigeria, we are glad to be hosting the biggest hockey club competition in Africa.

“We are ready to host Africa and we are confident of hosting a beautiful tournament. We have put everything in place to host a successful tournament.”

The tournament is billed for 15th to 22nd of December at the Abuja National Stadium Complex Package B.

Kada Stars and Niger Flickers will represent Nigeria in the men category while El-Sharkia and Eastern Company will represent Egypt, GRA and Exchequers of Bank of Ghana will represent Ghana.

Kada Queens and Delta Queens will represent Nigeria in the women category while Telekom, and USIU will represent Kenya, GRA and Ghana Police will be flying Ghana’s colour.
