Nigerian-American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC) sends Ambassador Okoyen forth

The Nigerian-American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC) is organizing a Send Forth ceremony for the outgoing Consul General of Nigeria in New York, United States of America, Ambassador Ben Okoyen.

The event, tagged “Celebrating The Champions Amongst US,” is holding Virtually on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at 12:00 PM EST; 10:00 AM PST and 5:00 WAT.

NAPAC is by the Send Forth program celebrating the leadership qualities of Ambassador Okoyen, his contributions to the well being of Nigerians in his area of coverage and beyond, as well as his call to higher duties as Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Cuba with concurrent accreditation to Bahamas, Honduras and Nicaragua,

Last Saturday, March 20, 2021, Nigerians in Disapora Organisation (NIDO) Americas, its New Jersey, New York and Atlanta chapters and the Nigerian Community in the US in general also organised an exciting virtual send off ceremony for Ambassador Okoyen and two of his colleagues, Ambassador (Mrs.) Aishatu Musa, the outgoing Consul General in Atlanta, who is going to resume in Kigali, Rwanda and Ambassador Innocent Iwejuo who is leaving Atlanta as Consul to take charge at the Multilateral Force in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

They were celebrated for their contributions to the affairs of the Nigerian community in the US.

NAPAC, which is organising Saturday’s Send Forth in honor of Ambassador Okoyen was established in 2011 by a group of high-profile Nigerian-American leaders who are committed to the enhancement of the socio-economic impact of Nigerians in the US.
