NIDO New Jersey holds Nigeria at 62 Flag Raising ceremony





Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States of America (USA), Dr. Uzoma Ikechi Emenike, Consul General in New York, Ambassador Lot Egopija, Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador (Professor) Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, Chaiman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM),
Honorable Abike Dabiri-Erewa and Mayor of the City of Newark, Mayor Ras Baraka are among dignitaries expected to grace Nigeria’s Flag Raising ceremony in Newark, New Jersey, USA on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
The Nigeria at 62 program, with the theme: “In Unity & Honor we Raise our Flag,” is being put together by Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation (NIDO), New Jersey, USA and will have as Keynote Speaker, Dr. Yetunde Odugbesan-Omele.
Holding at the Newark City Hall Rotunda, Broad Street, Newark New Jersey from 4:00PM, the event will feature Award of Honors, Indigenous fashion displays, “Ewi” spoken words and lots more.
Also expected at the event are Chairman Board of Trustees, Engr. Tope Esan and Chairman, Board of Directors, Dr Bert Shepkong, both of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation-Americas (NIDO-A).

The Flag Raising ceremony is held annually to celebrate the independence of Nigeria.
