Nigerians in US send off diplomats, Okoyen, Musa, Iwejuo, Saturday

Nigerians in the Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) Americas, its chapters and the Nigerian community in the United States of America will on Saturday, March 20, 2021 send off three top Nigerian Diplomats who have served meritoriously in the country’s missions in the US.

The outgoing Diplomats are Ambassador Ben Okoyen, Consul General, New York, Ambassador (Mrs.) Aishatu .A. Musa, Consul General in Atlanta and Ambassador Innocent Iwejuo, Consul, Atlanta.

The event, which will be an occasion to pay tributes to the diplomats, who have recently been posted to other countries to continue their services to the fatherland, is scheduled to start at 12.30 PM EST via Zoom.

The invitation to the program is endorsed by Dr. Kazeem Bello, President NIDO New Jersey; Dr. Victor Ubani, President, Atlanta Chapter and Hon. Bobby Digi, President, New York Chapter.

The Special Guest of Honor for the event is Ambassador (Professor) Tijjani Muhammed-Bande, the Keystone Speaker is Hon. Amina Muhammed, Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations while Hon. Laurie Cumbo, Majority Leader, New York City Council is expected to be in attendance.
