Nwokorie, Ogbuehi, others for honours as Eze Nwigwe of Umuariam Obowo marks 10th Anniversary, opens ultra modern Palace

All roads will lead to Umuariam Ancient Kingdom in Obowo Local Government Area (LGA) of Imo State, Nigeria on December 30 and 31, 2023 when the Traditional Ruler of the Kingdom, His Royal Highness (HRH) Eze Augustine Adiele Nwigwe (JP), Eze Oha-Choro 111 marks his 10th year anniversary and the official opening of his ultra modern Palace.

The Who is Who in Imo State and from beyond will storm the Kingdom for the grand finale of the celebrations on December 31, 2023 when some prominent personalities, including illustrious sons of the Kingdom, will be honoured with chieftaincy titles.

The event, which will have Hon. Lady Love Ineh (Ph.D), the Imo State Commissioner for Housing & Urban Development and Hon. Pius Uwaneme, the Obowo LGA Sole Administrator as Hosts, will witness the conferment of chieftaincy titles on Chief & Lolo Eliezer (Elie) Oluchukwu Ndudi Nwokorie as Omekannaya of Umuariam Ancient Kingdom and Chief MacMillan Chinedum Ogbuehi and Lolo Kate Ngozi Ogbuehi as Obi ka ibe ya of Umuariam ancient kingdom.

While Chief Nwokorie is a Los Angeles, United States of America (USA)-based Solar/Info Tech Engineer, married to Dr. Mrs. Anderline Chidinma Nwokorie (Edomaobi)nee Oti, a US-based school Administrator, Chief Ogbuehi is a successful USA-based businessman. Both men are dedicated to the advancement of the Kingdom of their birth.

Special Guests at the programme are Group Captain Charles Ibe (Rtd.), Chief & Lolo Bright Okeke, High Chief & Lolo Celestine Aguwa, Bar. Somadina Okorie and Sir Charles Chibu Uhegbu while the Royal Father of the Day is His Royal Majesty Eze Goddy Okeke, Eze Imo.

The Spiritual Fathers are Rev. Major Innocent Agoha (Rtd), Apst. Chinedu Oriechukwu, Rev. Fr. Cletus Madu, Rev. Fr. Leonard Jioke (SMMM), Rev. Cannon Emma Nwaichi JP and Arch Deac. Ezeji Innocent Ph.D.

According to the notice inviting guests, issued by Evang. Caleb Isinka and Nze Chinomso Igbokwe, Chairman and Secretary of the Planning Committee respectively, the event will hold at the Eze’s Palace in Umuokoro Umuariam from 10am prompt.

Chief Nwokorie, on the upcoming ceremony, pledged that “God has given us Umuariam Ancient Kingdom to make it better than we met it. And by the grace of God, we will do our best to make it a better place for our generation and for those who are coming behind us.
