Obowo people in USA celebrate in grand style in New Jersey, Saturday, October 4, 2025
Newark, New Jersey, United States of America (USA) will witness a full dose of the culture, cuisine, song and dances of the people of Obowo, Imo State Nigeria, on Saturday, October 4, 2025 when the inaugural edition of the Annual Obowo Day Celebration/Gala Night and Fundraiser holds at the Sacred Heart Catholic Hall, 537 Grove Street, Irvington NJ 07111.
The program, which is being put together by the Obowo Family Organization (OFO) NJ, NY, PA & DE, led by Chief Nath Chukwuocha, will start receiving the august visitors from all over the world who have already started trooping into New Jersey, the Garden State of the US for the historic occasion, from 8:00PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, for the event which promises to be grand.
Besides the display of the tradition and culture of the people that would be on display, the fire of patriotism burning in the hearts of the members for their motherland will also be on display as they rally their relatives, friends and associates to raise funds for the rehabilitation of elementary schools in Obowo.
The Obowo people are inviting all and sundry, from far and near to come and join them in this unique celebration, the echoes of which are sure to linger for a long time to come, and the impact of which will be felt by generations yet unborn.
