Odumodublvck says he survived major smear campaign in Nigerian music industry
Nigerian rapper and songwriter Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has said that he survived what he described as one of the biggest smear campaigns in the history of the Nigerian music industry.
The rapper made the claim in a social media post amid his ongoing public disagreement with fellow rapper BlaqBonez.
Odumodublvck alleged that millions of bots were being used to promote narratives against him, adding that people who were innocent would not spend heavily to control public perception.
“I survived one of the greatest lies and smear campaigns in the history of the Nigerian music industry,” he wrote.
“Over a hundred million bots trying to push narratives. Innocent people do not spend so much and do whatever it takes to control a narrative.”
He said he would eventually tell his side of the story, while urging his supporters to continue promoting his work.
“Industry machine no be for mouth. One day we’ll talk the true story. Till then make una dey promote me,” he added.
The latest remarks come amid a public disagreement between Odumodublvck and BlaqBonez, although the rapper did not provide specific details in the post about the alleged campaign or identify those he believed were behind it.
In a separate interview with Beat 99.9 FM, Odumodublvck praised his colleague, Davido, for giving his girlfriend N10 million as a reward for supporting him.
According to the rapper, his girlfriend played an important role in his career, particularly during his campaign for the Next Rated award.
Odumodublvck has also previously spoken publicly about his personal and professional relationships.
In one social media exchange, he shared a conversation with actress Osas Ighodaro after promoting his forthcoming album to her.
He has also said that, if given a choice between his wife and mother for the front seat of his car, he would choose his wife.
The rapper has previously made controversial comments about female artistes, including Tems and Ayra Starr, while discussing the challenges they face in the music industry.
