FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS (Poems 1 & 2 by Dr. Sussan nee Mbagwu, Texas, USA)

It is 365 days already?!!

Time! time!!–what is it, but:

A whisper in the night,

A flicker in the hot afternoon sun,

A wimper for a wounded heart.

Yes, they say time is the great healer of wounds, but NOT this wound, NOT this loss!

Neither time,

Nor season,

Nor succour will allay what we feel at your passing.

Beloved.

Umu-Okoro will be sombre this xmas,

Your Little friends will stand around, bewildered, forlorn, waiting for your convoy to turn the corner.

The joy has gone from Ville, and from New year bonfire!

Ada Ama-orji,

Nwa Umu-Okoro ji eme onu,

Beloved Sis,

Fare thee well.

YOU WILL FOREVER BE MISSED

Exactly one year ago today, the late Mr. Innocent Mbagwu family of Umuokoro Umuariam Obowo in Imo State, the entire community, Imo State and Nigeria as a whole lost a rare gem.

Her name, Nnenna Mary Mbagwu, continues to ring a loud bell in the community, in the state and the country because she left lasting legacies wherever she passed through.

A student leader at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, she retired from the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) as Assistant Controller General (ACG).

The shining star passed on to glory at 66 on December 12, 2020 and left many all over the world in tears. Today, Sunday, December 12, 2021, one year after her demise, it is still like a dream for many.

But a one year Memorial Service will be held in honour of the always smiling leader of leaders, loving mother, community leader, renowned philanthropist and lover of God  today, December 12, 2021 from 12 noon at the Church of Assumption Falomo, Ikoyi Lagos.

As family, relatives, friends, associates and well wishers gather in Lagos to give thanks to God for the impactful life she lived, in different parts of the world, there would also be gatherings in honor of her gentle and beautiful soul.

REQUISCAT IN PACEM.
 In  Deo :
  Vivemur,
 Muvemur,
Sumus.
All the Earth, the Heavens, and everything that dwells in them, BELONG TO GOD.
Alive, or Dead, we belong to GOD.
We affirm our belief in God Almighty, our Creator, and LORD.
We accept and are satisfied with his Precepts.
We thank Him for the gift of you.
And we celebrate your joyful life.
You have gone to that Holy Place where: Peace, Joy, and Tranquility reign.
This Sunday, we go to the House of God to give thanks,

and pray for your Soul, and our hearts.
That you find peace, rest, and good company,
till we meet again.

IRREPARABLE LOSS By Sandra Ozor Mbagwu-Fagbemi .
Nene O!
It’s one year already since you left us.
It’s hard to imagine how I survived this one year without you.
They say time heals all wounds and eases the pain of loss.
Not this wound! Not this loss!!!
It’s truly irreparable.
No single day passes without my thinking about you and serenading you
with Flavor’s song “Ada Ada”.
Ada nnem. Ada Innocent! Ada Umuokoro !! Ada Obowo!!
How we miss you 😢.
Truth be told, life is just not the same without you to share it with.
Our sole consolation is that we shall see you again on resurrection morning.
Our Angel of mercy, Queen of hearts 💕.
Your legacies will keep your memory evergreen in the lives, minds and hearts you touched.
Until we meet again Nene, remain securely in the bossom of Our Lord.
I will forever love you and miss you 🥰
Your beloved baby Sister
Sandra Ozor Mbagwu-Fagbemi (Barrister).

From Lebanon with much love
 My dearest Nnenna,
You left us too early
You were the kindest, most helpful person I ever met.
You gave so much not expecting any return,
You are now up in heaven with the angels.
Watch over us n bless us as always.
You are fondly remembered.
Rest in peace my loving sister
