Peter Obi visits College of Nursing Sciences in Benin City; Donates N15 million

Mr. Obi, a key member of the coalition of political leaders that are working on presenting a presidential candidate for the 2027 election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said of his visit to the health institution, on his X (former Twitter) page: “For Nigeria to truly develop, we must prioritise healthcare, education, and poverty alleviation – core pillars that define every progressive nation.
“It’s in line with this commitment that I visited Philomena College of Nursing Sciences in Benin City, Edo State – an institution I have consistently supported for its vital role in strengthening our healthcare system.
“To aid their ongoing work in training dedicated nurses and improving healthcare delivery, I made a modest contribution of ₦15 million.
“Such investments are among the most effective ways to build a better future. I thank the management, staff, and students for their warm welcome and commend their dedication.
“A New Nigeria will emerge when we invest in our people and lift them out of poverty,” the former Governor of Anambra State said, stressing that “A New Nigeria is POssible.”
