The election of Mr Amaju Pinnick, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) into FIFA’s highest decision-making organ in global football is a victory worth celebrating by Nigeria, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has said.
Noting that Pinnick is yet another Deltan rising further in prominence, Senator Omo-Agege described his victory as, also, additional glory for the people of Delta state.
“Amaju Pinnick ably reflects our people’s traditional values such as resilience, commitment to duty and fairness; it is no wonder that his acknowledged competence in football administration has further culminated in his election into FIFA’s Executive Council along with new responsibilities as one of the Vice Presidents of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
“As we all continue to pray for his success and that of all our sports administrators and sports people, we must continue to inspire our young ones in Delta state and all other parts of Nigeria towards true greatness in various endeavours,” Senator Omo-Agege stated.
