It’s never blind or asleep
A conscious trust of conscience
Sparkling and enthusiastic
Made scapegoat in the wild
Bears the brunt of the vile and vain
Innocence, fear entangles,
Innocence, redeems.
Childhood innocence,
Indifferent to difference,
Immune to deceit and ego; spotless, pure and priceless.
Even in the wild, knew no danger
In and out, at peace with ease
Wonderous spirit, full and free.
Innocence is of the child, memorable infancy,
Joy of parenthood, apple of the eyes of ages,
Filled with love, sparking passion, endemic trust
Giving meaning to life, telling it as is.
Incorruptible, irreducible,
Whose incarnation is its own recreation.
Neither retreats nor surrenders.
Like childhood dreams, mentors spindle
Love of the child, is its own riddle, its strength
Root race, spine of destiny, enduring nature
The seed germinates a tribe of warriors and Martyrs,
To protect, project, prosper and preserve the things they ought
A wholesome environment sustains,
The crownless Royalty.
Innocence, pure and perfect
Flows and renews, values retains
Brightens and emboldens through base to roof.
All it crosses, society bears, the guilty at alarm.
They fear and admire
Possesses no sorrow or horror
In innocence, the innocent transforms,
A vain world, full of pain, regains.
