



Professor Bertram E. B. Nwoke will, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, deliver the 9th Prof. C.O.E Onwuliri Memorial Lecture.
The Lecture, which will be Virtual, will have as theme: “Prof. C. O. E. Onwuliri: Legacies in the Science, Control and Elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases in Nigeria.”
Prof. B. E. B Nwoke, FAS, from Obowo, in Imo State, is a renowned Professor of Public Health Parasitology and Entomology.
According to the invitation by the Convener of the event, Dr. Chinemerem Dan Onwuliri of the Prof Onwuliri Foundation and the Co-convener/Technical Support, Dr Jude Uzodimma Iheoma of Mbaise Policy Roundtable (MPR), the Zoom Lecture will start at 04:00 PM West Central Africa (11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time).

Late Professor Celestine Onyemobi Elihe Onwuliri was a world acclaimed university Professor of Parasitology and 5th substantive Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) in Imo State.
A graduate of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) and University of Leeds, Professor Onwuliri, who hails from Umuokazi, Amuzi, Ahiazu Mbaise in Imo state, Nigeria, was also Ag. Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos and a two-time Commissioner.
He was, before his demise, married to Professor (Mrs.) Viola Onwuliri, a two-time Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
