The Action Democratic Party (ADP), Rivers state chapter has flagged off its electioneering campaign at Okujagu-Ama community in Okrika Local government area, assuring that the party would provide alternative to Rivers people.

Speaking at a rally held at the Community Secondary School, Okujagu-Ama, Hon. Victor Fingesi ,said his party has come to provide alternative to Rivers people in view of the reckless behaviour of the so-called major political parties, which hold the people of the state to ransom.

He  said the major parties have embarrassed Rivers people through promoting violence, internal bickering, running the state as their private estate and lacking vision to transform the lives of the people.

Speaking further, he said a government of ADP would empower Rivers people, reduce poverty, place emphasis on education and initiate and reactivate agricultural programmes.

“I want to lead Rivers people out of poverty and suffering”, he stated.

This, he said, would make way for ADP to emerge as the alternative party and clinch the governorship seat.
