Sadio Mane joins Cristiano Ronaldo’s Club Al Nassr

Senegalese football star Sadio Mane has joined Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr from Bayern Munich this summer.

Sadio Mane spent just one season with German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. A turbulent campaign that saw the Balloon D’or runner-up struggle to replicate his form from the days at Liverpool FC.

To end that phase and possibly his European football adventure, Sadio Mane has decided to join the train of superstars moving from Europe to the Middle East.

That train was lauched since January 2023 when Al Nassr signed Portuguese superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo as a free agent after he left Manchester United FC following a face-off with manager Erik Ten Hag.

Following weeks of speculation, it’s official, Sadio Mane has completed a move from Bayern Munich to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr, where he will earn £650,000 a week.

Mane has signed a contract until 2027 which means he stands to earn around £136m in total if he sees out the deal.

The former Liverpool FC man joins a star-studded Al Nassr side as they prepare for the 2023/2024 Saudi Arabia Premier League season which gets underway in few days.

Aged 31, Mane will now reap huge financial benefits as a result of the move to Al Nassr where his partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo is one interesting piece fans will look forward seeing to when the season gets underway.
