St. Antoninus Catholic Church, 337 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, 07103 will, on Sunday November 14, 2021, hold its Thanksgiving Harvest for Divine Restoration.

The main Bible text for the program of the iconic 147 year-old Church, which has Rev. Father Joseph A. Meager as Parish Priest, is Isaiah 60:1-2 – “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. 2. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

The target of the Harvest, according to the Chairperson of the Committee, Mrs. Maureen Ogbuehi, is to raise $150,000 for “much needed infrastructure improvements and maintenance,” and all contributions are tax deductible.

The highly anticipated event will start off with Holy Mass at 10am (EST) and will then be “followed by a festive multi-cultural lunch and Thanksgiving Bazaar.”

Relatives, friends and associates of Parishioners, and people of goodwill from all over the world are expected to attend the Thanksgiving Harvest of the historic Charismatic Catholic Church while those who cannot be physically present have opportunity to contribute via different channels towards the upgrade of the infrastructure and maintenance of the facilities in the Church through which God has blessed many individuals and families over the years of its existence.

The flyer for the special occasion also quotes Psalm 69: 30 –  “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify Him with thanksgiving,”  to remind all of what is expected of everyone especially as the clarion call from St. Antoninus Catholic Church, Newark, New Jersey has gone forth, for all to rally round to rebuild the House of the Lord.
