Nigeria’s Super Eagles camp for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe was officially opened on Wednesday September 6.
All 23 invited players have reported in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital and host city for the match.
The players arrived in three batches and were received at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo before being moved to the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area which will serve as their base for the game.
By 5pm on Wednesday, the team had it’s first training session at the Practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, head coach Jose Peseiro drilled the boys alongside his assistants.
Nigeria will face Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday September 10, 2023 by 5pm to conclude what has been a successful Africa Cup of Nations qualifying series.
