TV/Film artist, Tobias Truvillion, spoke at Health & Wellness Expo in Newark, New Jersey

A highly impactful wholistic Health & Wellness Expo was held at Essex County College (ECC), Newark, New Jersey, United States of America (USA) with renowned Television/Film artist and entrepreneur, Tobias Truvillion featuring as a Guest Speaker.

The program, the 9th in the series, was held in the College’s Gymnasium and had two major sessions, first “Youth Tipping Point for Healthy Minds & Healthy Bodies” session  and second, the “Restore and Rejuvenate,” segment, which focused on Adult Community Health.

Truvillion, who has dedicated his life to teaching wellness and a plant based life, stressed the need to discover “self-love” in today’s media driven society during his lecture and had his audience glued to their seats in rapt attention through out his presentation.

The program was an admixture of serious teachings on how to stay healthy naturally mentally and physically. There were fun exercises; free health screenings; aerobics, Qigong, and yoga demonstrations; and College tours. More than 300 local high school and college students attended during the daytime and about another 100 guests attended in the evening. The evening program had three panels, one on non-allopathic healing modalities, one on mental health, and another on allopathic healing strategies with local medical doctors.

The annual event was co-sponsored by the Africana Institute of Essex County College, Five Star Natural Spar, Moor Truth Action Group, Nursing & Health Sciences Division of ECC, the Student Nursing Organization of ECC, City of Newark’s Office of Violence Prevention and Trauma Recovery, Team Management 2000, Rising Tide Capital, I’m So Yoga Newark, Greater Essex Dental, Greater Essex Counseling, and Sisters Health & Wellness Collective. The exciting Expo was free and open to the public.
