Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr Emma Okah has said that the Government and people of Rivers State are ready and pleased to welcome and host Delegates to the 9th Assembly of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria holding in Port Harcourt on 30th and 31st January, 2018 at Hotel Presidential, Port Harcourt.
In a press statement issued in Port Harcourt, the Commissioner said the event will be a grand gathering of top traditional rulers in the Country who are contributing to promote unity, growth and development of the peoples of Nigeria.
It stated that those expected to grace the occasion include His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar, Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, his Co-Chairman, His Imperial Majesty Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, Ooni of Ife as well as His Royal Highness Alhaji Dr Yahaya Abubakar, Etsu Nupe, who is the Chairman, Coordinating Committee. Others are Zonal Coordinators, all State Traditional Rulers Council Chairmen, and respected members of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria and other invited persons.
The statement urged Rivers people and residents to join the Governor of Rivers State His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON, GSSRS to give the esteemed visitors a rousing reception in the usual Rivers hospitality.
