US-based group endorses Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour for Governorship of Lagos State

A United States of America (USA)-based group, Nigerian-American Coalition for Justice and Democracy (NACJD) has thrown its weight behind the Labour Party (LP)’s Governorship Candidate for Lagos State in the Saturday, March 18, 2023, election.

The group, a Washington, DC. based Research and Good Governance advocacy non-profit organization that educates the US Government, the Congress, and the policy-making community to influence US policies on Nigeria, said that Rhodes-Vivour is “a young man with everything God can endow,” who will, if elected Governor, “unlock the enormous potential of Lagos to Lagosians, Nigerians and to the world.”

Noting that the Labour Party candidate “represents the best Africa can produce,” the group stressed that he has “a great educational and family background, global understanding of the direction of the world in the 21st-century and infectious youth energy,” and is well “positioned to take Lagos to an enviable height.”

Calling on all registered voters in Lagos State “to go out en masse to elect Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as Governor of Lagos State” as well as elect all the Labour Party candidates for the State’s House of Assembly, the group noted that “in every developed country today, the emphasis has turned to giving qualified and able young people an opportunity to change their countries,” stressing that “at about 40 years old, GRV is able, well prepared and qualified to make Lagos the bride of the world in all ramifications! Most importantly, GRV does not have experience in corruption!”

GBADEBO RHODES-VIVOUR: THAT LAGOS MAY TAKE HER PLACE IN THE WORLD – AN ENDORSEMENT
(Tuesday, March 14, 2023).

In about four days, the good people of Lagos State will go to the polls to elect their Governor for the next four years.

Lagosians will face a consequential choice of their lifetime: To re-elect a product of a rapacious oligarchy holding Lagos by the jugular or elect a young man with everything God can endow, to unlock the enormous potential of Lagos to Lagosians, Nigerians and to the world.

In the last 24 years, the ruling political class has failed to meet the needs of average Lagosians. The denials, the corruption, the impunity, and the crass recklessness have come to a head. Lagos has become a garden for one man and his lackeys to the dismay of everyone.

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in our opinion, represents the best Africa can produce. With a great educational and family background, global understanding of the direction of the world in the 21st-century and infectious youth energy, GRV is positioned to take Lagos to an enviable height.

In every developed country today, the emphasis has turned to giving qualified and able young people an opportunity to change their countries. People as young as 33 years old have been saddled with positions up to Prime Minister.

At about 40 years old, GRV is able, well prepared and qualified to make Lagos the bride of the world in all ramifications! Most importantly, GRV does not have experience in corruption!

Lagosians are tired of the acute criminality on the streets, the corruption and strangle-hold of the mafiosos and the festering infrastructural decay in Lagos.

Those who refused to engage the people in a debate but are now going from church to church, market to market are tricksters. They are pretenders and will disappear once elected or re-elected. They are still the same. Lagosians need to dismantle the criminal oligarchy!

We call on all Lagosians to go out en masse to elect Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour as Governor of Lagos State and all Labour Party candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The NACJD is a Washington, DC. Research and Good Governance advocacy non-profit organization in the United States. We educate the US Government, the Congress, and the policy-making community to influence US policies on Nigeria.
