Valentine Ozigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the 2021 Anambra governorship election, was present at Ngwa, on Monday, December 27, 2021, to celebrate with Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe as the Senate Minority Leader was conferred with the title of Maduforo Nde Ngwa.

Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who is the lawmaker representing Abia South Senatorial District at the Nigerian Senate, is one of the most outspoken legislators in the upper chamber and is seen as an authentic voice of the Igbo people.

Senator Adolphus Wabara, a former Nigerian Senate President, was the Chairman of the grand civic reception at Ahiaba National High School in Obingwa Local Government Area.

The celebration attracted thousands of attendees who came to rejoice with Senator Abaribe, hailing him for always speaking up for Ndi Igbo and standing as a voice for the minorities.

Ozigbo, whose lovely wife, Mrs. Ojiugo Ozigbo, accompanied him to the event, spoke to journalists, describing Sen Abaribe as a leader, mentor, and politician par excellence.

“Senator Abaribe is a perfect gentleman and an ideal politician. The huge turnout here shows that he is the voice of the people, an active force in the Nigerian Senate, and Nigerian politics, by extension,” Ozigbo, a multiple award-winning global CEO, said.

Ozigbo further charged Sen Abaribe to see the title as a call to action that would spur him to do more for his people.

Several dignitaries attended the event, including Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, a former Senate President and Secretary to the Government of the Federation and Hon. Alwell Asiforo Okere, Abia State PDP Chairman.

Several directors of the 2021 Anambra PDP governorship campaign organisation accompanied Ozigbo to the occasion, including Hon Eucharia Azodo, a former Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly and a two-time member of the Federal House of Representatives; Hon Barr Valentine Ayika, a former member of both the Anambra State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives; Chief Tony Offiah and Captain Sam Udegbu.
