The support group comprises professionals in their various fields of endeavor, who are promoters of peace and good governance in Enugu State and committed to the re-election of Gov. Ugwuanyi in 2019.
The group’s well-designed sensitization posters and strategically located billboards have flooded most parts of the state, especially the Enugu metropolis with the inscriptions: “For continuity of peace and good governance, register with INEC to collect your permanent voters’ card, if you have not done so. PVC is your power to enjoy more dividends of democracy”
The group is also running awareness radio jingles in the major broadcast stations in the state urging “Ndi Enugu” and residents from 18 years of age, who have not obtained their PVCs to take advantage of the on-going voters’ registration exercise to register at the INCE designated centre nearest to them.
Reacting to the development, the group’s coordinator, Hon. Peter Nnaji disclosed that the members are poised to ensure that eligible voters in the state register and collect their PVCs to be able to exercise their civic responsibilities during the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Nnaji disclosed that the awareness campaign was targeted at every nook and cranny of the state, especially in the rural areas, regretting that most of the dwellers are not aware of the on-going voters’ registration exercise, hence the prompt intervention.
The coordinator, therefore, urged the people to support the sensitization exercise by passing the message to others in the overall interest of the state, which he said is presently enjoying peace and good governance.
