It was celebrations galore recently for New Jersey, United States of America (USA)-based Elder Isaac Abiola Popoola and his wife, Elder (Mrs.) Janet Popoola, when he turned 61 and they were conferred with the highly coveted Chieftaincy titles of Aare & Yeye Oba Oniroko of Iroko Town in Oyo State, Nigeria.
For Chief & Chief (Mrs.) Isaac Abiola Popoola, it was a time of great dancing and thanksgiving to God, especially also, as the family used the season to bless the less privileged in society, especially widows, with different gifts, using the platform of the Ayinke Mary Foundations, named after his late mother.
Chief & Chief (Mrs.) Popoola were honoured for their philanthropic activities and contributions to the growth and development of Oniroko Town, especially in the areas of education and culture.
The Oniroko of Iroko, his Chiefs, the people of the Town as well as relatives, friends and associates of Chief & Chief (Mrs.) Popoola came together to celebrate and rejoice with the couple and their family.
The 61st birthday celebration, which followed the Coronation ceremony was also a gathering of the Who is Who and witnessed many exciting moments. There was much dancing and plenty to eat and drink.
The couple returned to their base in the US from Nigeria and danced out, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Dominion Cathedral, Orange, New Jersey, to give God thanks and praise for His unfailing faithfulness, for the titles conferred on them, for Chief Popoola’s 61st birthday and for journey mercies.
