When Nigerian Educators rocked New Jersey, USA

The New Jersey-based Nigerian Education Association (NEA) held its glamorous and well attended End of the Year Gala Night on June 10, 2023.

The high and the mighty in Education sector and beyond turned out in their bests to celebrate the accomplished and great impact making educators, both the young and the not so young among them.

It was an evening of reminiscences, motivational speeches, backslapping, laughter, joy, camaraderie, good foods and drinks and dancing, to celebrate another successful year.

The event was held at the Blessed Sacrament Church on Van Nesse Place in Newark, New Jersey and the extra excited President of the Association, Lolo Blessing Chimezie, said “I’ve been joyfully overwhelmed with our collective success in hosting one of the best evening events in recent times in our community. The NEA gala night was a show of excellence.”

It was, indeed, a show of excellence, and among dignitaries, educators and their guests, who made the evening a night to remember for good were Chief & Lolo Uzor Okeke, Chief & Lolo Charles Eke, His Highness Rt. Hon. Elliot Isibor, the Onu Obi 1 of Ute Okpi Kingdom & Ezinne Rachael Isibor, Chief Ome Ogo 1 of Ute Kingdom, Ezinne Queen Rose Obilo and Governor Chris Ejekwu.

Others, among many other distinguished personalities, were Hon. Richard & Dr. Christy Ikwuegbu, Mrs. Abosede Olayinka, Matron, Mrs. Alima Adeoye, Chief & Lolo Okoro, Ezinne Caroline Onyesonwu, Dr (Mrs.) Stella Korieocha and Lolo Maureen Ogbuehi.

Clerics were also fully represented. Rev. Fr. Albert Nze was the Motivational Speaker of the event, while Fr. Peter Iwuala and Fr. Longinus attended the Gala Night to support the Nigerian Educators and great job they are doing.

At the end of the memorable outcoming, President Chimezie, after thanking the team that made the event rock, said “now that we’ve set the pace, it’s now a matter of ‘FORWARD EVER, BACKWARDS NEVER.’ l have no doubt that we’re up to the task.”
